Biografía del autor Carolyn C. Cox, PhD, CHES, is an associate professor of health science at Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. She is respected in the field of worksite health promotion and frequently serves as a reviewer for textbook publishers on the topic. Extensively published and well practiced as a presenter of research on worksite health promotion, Cox is a fellow for the Association for Worksite Health Promotion, a member of the American College of Sports Medicine's Alliance of Health Fitness Professionals, and chair of the Missouri Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Health's Worksite Health Promotion Task Force. Dr. Cox also is an active member of the National Wellness Institute and the American Alliance for Health Education of the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. The Central District and Missouri Chapter of AAHPERD named her the College/University Health Education Professional of the Year for 2002.
